Amazon Revealed Its New Smart Home Devices for 2021

During Amazon’s fall event, which took place on September 28, 2021, the retail giant talked about its exciting new products. And although most of them will hit the shelves fairly soon, some will also be available for pre-order.

Amazon’s most unique products for this year include smart doorbells, monitoring robots, and a next-gen Amazon Echo, which was the main driving force behind Amazon purchases for 22.3% of buyers.

The Blink Video Doorbell

The Blink Video Doorbell, which will be available from October 21, 2021, is the first smart doorbell that comes with HD video. You can connect the device with your smartphone to receive alerts when someone rings the doorbell or you can use it for communication.

In addition to that, you will be able to pair the doorbell with Alexa, customize motion detection zones, alerts, and light triggers.

Blink Video Doorbell (pre-order) price: $49.99

Amazon Astro

Amazon Astro is a Walle-E look-alike household monitoring robot that uses advanced navigation technology. In other words, it can check on specific rooms remotely, carry items, send messages, make calls and voice chats, etc.

Amazon’s Astro robot uses a 1080p periscope camera that has a 132-degree field of view. The robot also supports dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth.

Amazon Astro (invitation only) price: $999.99

Amazon Echo Show 15 (Coming Soon)

Amazon Echo Show 15 is the newest member of the Echo Show family. This 15.6-inch device with a 1080p full HD display will have more customization and personalization features, such as visual ID with a 5MP camera and voice ID, household calendar, sticky notes, and Alexa Together.

The Echo Show 15 will arrive later this year, and it will cost $249.

Apart from the products that we’ve already mentioned, Amazon also plans to launch two more home security devices — the Ring Alarm Pro, the Ring Always Home Cam — as well as three brand-new smart home devices: Amazon Smart Thermostat, Amazon Glow, and Halo View.
